85°C Bakery Cafe, a Taiwanese bakery chain, will open its first downtown Los Angeles location at 10:30 AM on June 10, 2016. Grand opening celebration for the new store will be highlighted by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a month-long series of promotions. The store is located at 700 Wilshire Boulevard on the corner of Wilshire and Hope, near the 7th Metro subway station.
85°C Bakery Cafe has over 900 stores worldwide and 5,000 Yelp reviews. With the first flagship store opened in 2009, 85°C Bakery Cafe has been actively expanding in the United States due to increasing customer demands. The downtown LA store has been designed to tailor a new urban concept to the metropolitan lifestyle. The self-serve bread section allows customers to browse freely and pick out their favorites with tongs and trays. The store features large selections of freshly baked bread, made-to-order drinks, and beautifully decorated cakes.
“We are excited to be part of such a multicultural and historical neighborhood,” said Charles Wu, Operating Director of 85°C, on joining the rapid developments and the blooming business in downtown Los Angeles. “We have designed a California-themed mug incorporating more than 10 languages to symbolize the diversity exemplified in both California and 85°C.”
