OC Weekly Holiday Cheers 2016

85°C Bakery Cafe participated in the annual OC Weekly Holiday Cheers event, held at the [AV] center in Irvine, CA. It was the largest holiday cocktail party in Orange County, which benefited the local charity, I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue. The event included a variety of cocktail tastings, unlimited food and dessert samples, live music, and holiday vendor shopping. 85°C Bakery Cafe did not disappoint as we served our newest launch of 85°C Tarts. Everyone that passed by the 85°C booth was mesmerized by the aroma and appeal of our display. They were pleasantly surprised by the crunchy crust and different flavor offerings

Daly City Grand Opening

Daly City, CA (November 4, 2016) –– 85°C Bakery Cafe opened its Daly City location on November 4, 2016. The store is located at 5 – L Serramonte Center, Daly City, CA 94015, on the San Francisco Peninsula. Since the 85°C Daly City Soft Opening, it has been gaining more popularity with long lines of customers waiting to get their hands on 85°C products. Due to an increasing demand for an 85°C Bakery Cafe in the San Francisco area, 85°C answers back with the Daly City location. Located at the Serramonte center, the location is easily accessible to the San Francisco customers, because they no longer have to drive an hour and pay $5 to cross the bay bridge to other 85°C locations.

Cypress Grand Opening

Cypress, CA (October 21, 2016) –– 85°C Bakery Cafe is opening its Cypress location on October 21, 2016. The store is located at 9575 Valley View Street. In September 2008, 85°C Bakery Cafe opened its very first U.S. store in Irvine. Eight years later, after expanding to Northern California and Texas the company returned to where it all began and continues to expand in the Orange County area. 85°C keeps family in mind as the Cypress location is easily accessed by the surrounding residents.

The Cypress City Council officials, Stacy Berry, Jon Peat, and Rob Johnson whole heartedly welcomed 85°C to the city and took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony. The grand opening celebration was highlighted by a media reception that displays the milestones the company has hit during the past 8 years. Napoleon cake, Sriracha breads, and Sea Salt Coffee Brulee cake were served to media and guests at the reception.

National City Grand Opening

National City, CA (September 9, 2016) ¬–– 85°C Bakery Cafe opened its 22nd U.S. store in National City on September 9th. The new store is located at 1302 E Plaza Blvd Unit 103. The National City Mayor Ron Morrison along with representatives of the city council and the chamber of commerce welcomed 85°C to their city. The grand opening celebration was highlighted by a one-hour on-site event with a popular local radio station, a private product tasting, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a series of promotions.

To celebrate the grand opening and to interact with local customers and fans, 85°C has brought in an amazing team from Channel 93.3 to host an hour-long on-site event that featured games, prize giveaways, photo op, and music. A foodie event for press and influencers was held an hour before the grand opening celebration. During the foodie event, newly launched 85°C products, including the Sriracha series, Napoleon cake, various tarts, and seasonal mooncakes, were provided for tasting.

LA Times The Taste 2016

85°C Bakery Cafe is proud to participate in the annual The Taste event hosted by The Los Angeles Times. During this event, 85°C collaborated with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau to take part in the “Oh Bear” campaign. 85°C Master Chefs prepared over 500 customized pastries and named them “Beary Cookie Bun” as an ode to the Taiwanese black bear. Guests and participants alike were awed at the sight of the “Beary Cookie Bun” for not only its cuteness but also its delightful taste. With over 200 other restaurant participating at the LA Time “The Taste” event, 85°C did not disappoint with its innovation and creativity.

Sriracha Chili Grinding Open House 2016

85°C collaborates with Huy Fong Foods Inc. to inspire the creation of the Sriracha Series sold at all of our locations. This beautiful co-op allowed 85°C to serve Spicy Green Onion Chicken and Spicy Sausage at Sriracha’s annual open house Chili Grinding Festival. The event was held on every Saturday of September 2016, at which we served over 12,000 samples of the Sriracha Series. 85°C did not disappoint as the Sriracha fans raved and complimented the newly released products.

Carrollton Grand Opening

Carrollton, TX (August 19, 2016) –– 85°C Bakery Cafe, a Taiwanese bakery chain, opened its very first Texas location on August 19, 2016 in Carrollton. The store is located at 2540 Old Denton Road, Unit 106. The opening of the Carrollton location is a milestone for the brand as it is not only the first 85°C Bakery Cafe in Texas, but also the first location outside of California. Moreover, Miss Texas Jr. Teen and Miss San Gabriel Valley have joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome 85°C Bakery Cafe to Texas.

Justice Thompson, Miss Texas Jr. Teen 2016, cheerfully welcomed 85°C to her home state. At the same time, Breanna Coffey, Miss San Gabriel Valley 2016, was ecstatic to have the same comforts she had received in California available now also in Texas, as she has recently became a Texas resident. Upon entering the Lone Star State, the Operating Director of 85°C Charles Wu stated: “This is our first flagship store in the mid-west, we are honored to have Texas as our first out-of-California location. We cannot wait to offer our service and products to the rest of the nation.”
